Downloading a video from YouTube to use for a .gif
Step 1: Go to youtube.com and find a video. Once you've found a video you'd like to download, copy the url.
Step 2: Go to zamzar.com.
Step 3: Click on the "Download Videos" tab. This is the page you will see.
Step 4: Paste your url into "Step 1." For "Step 2," select .mp4 (or .mov and .avi will often work). For "Step 3," enter your email.
Step 5: Press "OK"
Step 6: Leave the next window open until it completes.
Step 7: Go to your email.
Step 8: Click on the longer link to get your file.
Step 9: Click the green "Download Now" button.
Step 10: The video should start to download.
Step 11: When the video is done, locate it. Mine is on my desktop (it may be in your Downloads folder, depending on how your computer is set up).
Step 12: Open the file in Photoshop.
Step 13: Locate, click "open."
Step 14: Now it should be loaded into Photoshop! Make sure you have the "Animation" window open (Window > Animation).
